Key Concepts homework blog task

1) Find a film poster of your choice (use Google images) and add it to your blog post. You'll need to save it to My Pictures or a similar folder and then import the image using the 'insert image' icon in Blogger.

2) Write an analysis of the film poster on your blog using the four key media concepts: language, industries, audience and representation.

2)

Language:
How you can tell this is a film poster is by the small text in the bottom right hand corner it says coming soon and movies that say coming soon usually mean that they are new to the cinema (even thought this movie was made in 9 December 2005) and it also has a list of people and producers at the bottom who acted or helped in the effects or help edit the movie in a way.

Industries:
The people who had made this movie was Warner Bros studios which they called this movie "conceptual art". Warner Bros studio was known for TV programs, films and games the most popular movie produced form warner bros studio would be "The dark Knight rises" a film about batman.

Audience:
The target audience would be adults or people over 15 as it seems like an action film including warriors and fighting, and usually fighting films have some blood and gore so it wouldn't be suitable for younger audiences to watch this film as it may contain disturbing content for them. The film looks like it would be targeted toward older audience who seek lots of blood and gore and lots of violence and fighting,

Representation:
From a review it says "In its essence, 300 is a retelling of Herodotos' account of the battle of Thermopylai (480 BC)". This movie poster seems as if a major war is happening. The man in the front of the movie poster seems very strong and as if he is the commander of the war group, how you can tell this man is very strong is by how he has a very muscular body and how he isn't wearing any armour, the only thing he seems to wear in the movie poster is a red cape and a pair of pants that has a dagger holster attached to is.
